5 Gigs, 1 Day !!
Just one of those days... mmm not really though.
The 4th of septembre 2010 definitely was one of the wickest gig-days ever. 5 gigs in a row. One with DJ and producers duo 'Turntable Dubbers' @ Laundry Day and then 4 gigs with Merdan Taplak Orkestar. Cruisin' with our mobilhome from Laundry day to Crammerock toVIlla pace and to Nacht van de Kaap.
The whole day was captured by a filmcrew. These are some short teasers, already.
Tweet Remix for Merdan Taplak
Every now and then it's fun to just do something completely different. Merdan wanted to remix an old-scool swingtune (in stead of those balkantheme's). We decided to tweak and work on "Tweedle Dee". The complete song is produced in the box at home (yeah, this is sooo 21th century...) The result is on the third electroswing compilation album.(off course in a store close to you)

Merdan Taplak orkestar
Recently bram joined 'MERDAN TAPLAK ORKESTAR', a brand new project from DJ Merdan Taplak.
One deejay, one accordionist and four brass musicians, all originating from Antwerp, Belgium. No golden teeth, no suspenders or hats, no gipsy roots, but one hell of a fiesta balkananica! Mashed up with electronica, bridging the gap between balkan- and popclassics. Oppaah!

Robert Soko has been throwing parties in Berlin since 1993. He was the first to coin the term BalkanBeats to try and define his mix of music from the Balkans.BalkanBeats are Serbian Gypsy brass and folk melodies reinterpreted, given electronic beats and blended with western styles such as ska and rock.
The compilation contains songs from Magnifico, Shantel, Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Boban I Marko Markovic Orkestar and many more big names from the scene.
