Tweet Remix for Merdan Taplak

Every now and then it's fun to just do something completely different. Merdan wanted to remix an old-scool swingtune (in stead of those balkantheme's). We decided to tweak and work on "Tweedle Dee". The complete song is produced in the box at home (yeah, this is soo 21th century...)

The result can be downloaded here.

Feel free to donate. The birth list can be found at one of the "big four majors" (just joking...everybody knows they aren't big anymore ;))

Nubian Nightfall (Sven van Hees) - Turntable Dubbers Remix

One of the tracks from the latest album from Sven Van Hees is Nubian Nightfall. The Turntable Dubbers made a very nice remix of this song and got some help from myself.
I arranged and recorded the hornsection and did co-production.
Trumpet: Glenn Magerman
Trombone: Floris Vanpachtenbeke
Saxophone: Me :)

Bram produced new Remixes by Merdan Taplak

Summer is nearly finished and Merdan Taplak is already working on some new stuff.
Two brand new remixes from merdan Taplak are comming up, both produced by Bram. Paleto, a song from the Belgian worldmusic band Think of One and Borderbounce from Al Jawalla(Germany). The unfinished (demo-) version of the Borderbounce rmx has already proven its succes at loads of festivals this summer. (Dour, pukkelop, sfinks...)
When you pop out the audio player you can listen to the finished version of the Borderbounce RMX. The track is mixed @ Rockstarrecordings and mastered by Gert Van Hoof (cochleamastering.net).

Keep bouncing the borders!

Renée Sys' new EP

Fish Kiss is one of the three beautiful songs from Renee Sys' latest EP. The complete EP is recorded and mixed @ the Rockstarrecordings complex. For the geeks interested: I tried a lot of different mic's and techniques on the guitar, but ended up using the SN2(neumann). This stereomic gave me the nicest stereospread and sound. Both membranes were switched to cardio and angled 60 degrees. You can hear the U87 on the vocal.

Lobola - Geert Vander Sypt

Geert came in the first place to me to record his own samples. Those samples will be used afterwards in his live shows.
After a day in the studio recording samples, we decided to record a proper song.
Lobola is the result of a day improvising, recording, producing and mixing @ Rockstarrecordings. Everything is played live, so no samples at all.

Everything, but really everything, is recorded with MD 421 and AKG 414.
